I've always struggled with the idea of God in the sky being this ever-present entity that doesn't get involved in our affairs. A couple of days after my mother had passed I was in the backyard of a brownstone and the wind blew and I felt a mother's voice, if that makes sense. And I welled up with tears and she spoke to me. I came to the revelation that God is my mama. She wasn't ultra famous, but well known. Not always liked, but always loved. I feel so alone right now. I'm working on a song to uplift her impact on me. We all deal with death differently. I am in deep prayer that this song plays loud enough on Earth to hear it in the skies above. I love you mama. The first woman I loved.
