about

I want to raise the energy of Black Positivity. Approach good how people approach evil, with great methodical intensity. Be the voice of reason and clarity, like a Dick Gregory, Marcus Garvey, or Stevie Wonder. When I heard Rain Elektra's voice it was a must that I work with her. I had initially sung a much more basic version of this hook, but once Rain came in, the blessings of one of the biggest sounds on the project was born.

lyrics

ohene verse:
Great white hope
From the greatest black tragedies
black hand slighted back magically
They either laugh at me
Or mad at me
They either doubting me
Or gassing Me
I was the first to get a beeper
And a cellular phone
U was the first spurn Yé
But forgave Jerry Jones
I'm rooting for everybody black
From the Mosque and the Frats
I got everybody back
Power our planet
My souls equipped
Black God Pantheon
Black land ownership
Harlem is the place I was born
River is the flow that I'm on
Yacht cause it's different than the slave ship
Club We together on the same shit
Yoga's free practice
stretch the money the alike
Today's Mantra
Loving my life

hook:
Breathe my nigga breathe
Cus what do we do this for?
Make sure it’s intentional Wooah
The truth will set you free
My nigga free
The heart that’s been put on hold
Hoping the wind will open will let go
Won’t hold in

ohene verse:
Repetition and prayer
To get rid of the n word
But of course u hear the chorus
Need to speak with my mentor
This for the bonnets and the bandanas
This for the Jacksons and the Santanas
Never did it for money
But maybe I should
Actually I shan't
Would've been if I could
I'm Old English mix with Ol English
We been criminalized
By our music and our own demons
Gentrification came
We was killing our brother
Willie Lynch in full effect
We still Killin each other
Made a Diddy about Love
Then took Puff
Considered the tune Notorious
When Big wasn't enough
I'm from Harlem
We marry billionaires and u seen this
Rap is an oversimplification of our own genius
Mirror show me the image of my own cleaness
And let me where the crowns with all my old negus

hook:
Breathe my nigga breathe
Cus what do we do this for?
Make sure it’s intentional Wooah
The truth will set you free
My nigga free
The heart that’s been put on hold
Hoping the wind will open will let go
Won’t hold in

outro:
Enter my maze
And find your escape
By breathing it innnnnn

People go then they appear
I’m never gone
Now just breathe me in
(Uh-oh) (uh-oh)
Dance to it they can’t hear ya
Just breathe
